Is AA your God? Is this the religion of your boasts?
Is recovery your God? Is this what you boast about?
Is the 12 steps your God? Is this the religion of your boasts?
Are [AA co-founders] Bill and Bob your teachers? Is this who you boast about?

2Cr 13:5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

Let’s give a Biblical test of “the heart”!
Some believe out of ignorance or perhaps from bad doctrine say you cannot know what is inside of a man’s heart. Jesus himself says the opposite:

Mat 15:18 “BUT THE THINGS THAT PROCEED OUT OF THE MOUTH COME FROM THE HEART, and those defile the man.

Hbr 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and ABLE TO JUDGE THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTIONS OF THE HEART.

So the test is this:
What is coming out of our mouths?
What and or who are we boasting about?

1Cr 1:31 so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.”

2Cr 10:17-18 But HE WHO BOASTS IS TO BOAST IN THE LORD. For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends.

Jer 9:24 but let him who boasts BOAST of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.

Psa 20:7 Some boast in chariots and some in horses, BUT WE WILL BOAST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, our God.

You see, it is easy to discern on where a person’s loyalty actually is founded. [When] one knows/follows the real Jesus as Lord and Savior, you will see clearly as conveyed throughout the scriptures that they will “always” and “exclusively” boast about Jesus only. Testimonies are our foundational statement towards who our God actually is. By what comes out of your mouth it is easy to discern (where your loyalty is) and (who your God is).

So,
Who and or what do you boast about?:

Is the real God your God:
“Father” “Son” “Holy Spirit”?
And is it in Jesus alone that you solely rely upon and boast?

Who is your God?
You (can) tell by what comes out of your mouth.

Jesus says:
Mat 10:32-36 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

This Bill Wilson and Bob Smith both fail the test.
– They are not Christians –
Void of “acknowledges me before men” they never testified that Jesus was their Lord and Savior nor did they “boast in The Lord” meaning “Jesus” about anything. These are real Biblical tests and this is not play time. For those who persist in falsely conveying that these AA founders had anything to do with Jesus, this is a direct rebuke: Quit lying and grow up. This is most serious to spread this type of lie for all at hand have their lives eternal in the balance.

May we:
Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
